The setting is set: Bourg-d'Oisans (38), surrounded by mountains. Everywhere we look, they remind us that greater things are beyond us. We set down our suitcases and recorders here from May 19 to 21, 2025, as part of the Résonances project, imagined as an echo to our installation-show D'Arbre en Arbre, which will take place on June 14, 2025 at the Théâtre de verdure.

The project is part of a CTEAC (Comité Territorial pour l'Éducation Artistique et Culturelle) residency program run by the Communauté de communes de l'Oisans, in partnership with the Ehpad Abel Maurice, the résidence des Charmilles, the leisure center, the youth department and the ONF, and with the support of the DRAC, the Région, the Département and the CAF de l'Isère.

As soon as we arrived, we met the activity teams, the project partners, the forest guides, the residents... We forge our first links. We share our desires and objectives, talk about the company's work and the show that is the pretext for this meeting. We arouse curiosity. Julien Deborde, our musician companion for this project, accompanied by Chloé Moreau, begins the first sound recordings.

On Tuesday May 20, we met up at Bois Gauthier for our first walk. 7 people from the independent residence, 12 teenagers, 3 guides from the ONF, and the team of activity leaders took part. We collect the first testimonials, about trees, life...

Trees become pretexts for memories, confidences and invented stories. Juliette, aged 75, gives us a mischievous summary: “Trees here are all crooked! In my Savoie, they're real trees! The atmosphere is one of intergenerational encounters and sensitive exchange. The enthusiastic forestry guides accompany the walk with their anecdotes and naturalist insights. The aim is to encourage observation, sharing and imagination, starting with our everyday partners: the trees we've noticed... the ones we grew up with, the ones that draw parallelograms that capture our imagination, the ones that trace a rhythm in the landscape, the ones that tell the story of the past, adapt to the present and build the future.

The following day, the second walk took place in the Buclet forest. This time, 11 Ehpad residents walked alongside 5 children from the leisure center. Once again, the interviews were rich, the environment inspiring, and bonds were gently forged.

All these voices, memories and stories will feed a sound creation. From these fragments of memory, Julien will create a sound composition that will be broadcast on the site where D'Arbre en Arbre will grow, on Saturday June 14, as part of the Houille Blanche Centenary and the Nuits des Forêts.
