En recherche... is a scheme run by the 3 CNAREPs in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region (Le Parapluie in Aurillac, Les Ateliers Frappaz in Villeurbanne and Quelques p'Arts in Boulieu-les-Annonay), with the support of the DRAC Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. As part of the programme, 3 artists have been invited to carry out research in the public space.
For 2024, the Éclat-CNAREP Aurillac association invited Nadine Guinefoleau, from the Carabosse company.
Driven by a desire to go back to materials, drawing and making, Nadine is taking part in this project with the initial idea of looking at time. She wants to ‘stretch it, slow it down, suspend it, give the sensation of a parenthesis, create distortions. To go against the tide of general acceleration and break away from a linear vision of time, to give space to contemplation. To make visible what is being built right before our eyes without artifice, to show the workings, the mechanisms’.
Throughout the year, in the course of laboratories carried out at Le Parapluie, in Aurillac and at the company's other partners, various accomplices (researchers, visual artists, musicians, set designers, etc.) were invited to experiment, try out and research together.
From the role of the flame in optical games, to the heat of the flame to create movement, to the creation of mechanisms, frescoes and poetry, while trying their hand at the dialogue between music and the body, the teams crossed their practices,
